Joe Ingram began working in the construction industry at the age of 18, starting as a labourer, truck driver, and machine operator shortly after completing his 7th form year at school. Unsure of his career path at first, he soon discovered a passion for the industry and decided to upskill by pursuing civil engineering at the University of Canterbury.

At 23, after completing his studies, Joe Ingram returned to Graham Harris Ltd as a Project Manager, where he spent 10 years managing projects of increasing complexity.

In late 2017, an exciting opportunity arose to take ownership of the company. Since acquiring Graham Harris Ltd, Joe Ingram has overseen significant growth, including a substantial increase in staff numbers and an expansion of the company’s project capabilities.

One of the major milestones in recent years was the acquisition of land in Bell Block and the development of a purpose-built yard, complete with workshops, offices, and other facilities. This investment marked a significant upgrade from the company’s previously leased premises, allowing for greater operational efficiency and long-term growth.

With over 15 years of experience in the industry, Joe Ingram continues to lead Graham Harris Ltd with a focus on delivering high-quality civil construction projects and fostering a strong, capable team.
Interests

Outside of work, Joe enjoys a busy and fulfilling personal life with his young family. He and his partner are proud parents to their 15-month-old son, Boenn, who keeps them on their toes with his boundless energy and curiosity. Family time is a top priority, and they love spending weekends together exploring the outdoors and watching Boenn grow and discover the world.

In addition to family life, Joe has a passion for motorsports and regularly competes in speedway racing, a thrilling and fast-paced hobby that has been a long-standing interest. The excitement of the racetrack provides a perfect balance to his professional life, allowing him to unwind and channel his competitive spirit.

Staying active is important to him as well. When he’s not at the track or spending time with his family, Joe can often be found on the squash court, enjoying the intensity of the game. He also values the social aspect of staying connected with friends and colleagues, and loves being part of a close-knit community that enjoys both work and leisure together.

With a blend of professional ambition, family dedication, and a love for adventure, Joe brings balance and enthusiasm to both his personal and professional life.

A general all rounder in anything civil but specialises in road construction and formation, site works construction and builds. Enjoys a variety of work and happy to pitch in and do anything asked of him when required.
